Once you have provided us with the following confidential information about you and your web site, then we can begin building your own PicoSearch search engine. You can start with a FREE account, or pay anytime for a Professional or Premium account with many more features. Any problems, just contact us!

PicoSearch protects the privacy of your signup information. We do not distribute your email to anyone, we do not send spam, and we use extraordinary precautions to protect the user database from outside access.

Now please give us 1, 2, or 3 entry points to your web pages. Just 1 URL for the homepage is enough for most sites, but it must be the real URL that is used in your links. PicoSearch stays under the entry points, so you need a different one for every website or redirected link (paying accounts get unlimited entry points). Don't worry though, you can always fix problems later and ask us questions after getting an account number. Password protected directories will not work for sign-up, but can be configured later in the account manager. Enter at least 1 fully-qualified URL to your website. Directories must end in forward slash like http://www.site.com/subdir/ or else you'll include extra directories. Site Restrictions: No nudity, no hate sites, no illegal activities.

The PicoSearch Indexer will collect all your linked website documents, just like a visitor would find. Then you can try your PicoSearch Free account, complete with many customizing abilities. Or you can upgrade anytime to a Professional or Premium account for no advertisements, higher indexing limits, and complete templated control. Explain: entry points - indexers - fully-qualified URL

Now please tell us how you would like to limit the following of links from your website (also known as spidering). Don't Worry if PicoSearch doesn't find all of your documents the first time. The goal here is to get your account started - more advanced tools will come later to refine your search engine as needed.
	Directory Level Restriction (default) Appropriate for most web-hosted sites. Only links at or below the level of the entry point will be followed for indexing.
	Server Level Restriction Good for distinguishing beteween multiple servers. Only links on the machine of the entry point will be followed for indexing, such as http://ThisServer.MyDomain.com but not http://ThatServer.MyDomain.com.
	Domain Level Restriction Widest link following. All links off of the entry point will be followed, such as both http://ThisServer.MyDomain.com and http://ThatServer.MyDomain.com.

Now you get to choose whether to index in your browser or in the background! If you have a small site and a good connection, you can index online in your browser to see that each document gets collected. But we recommend that if you have a big site, a slow dial-up, or intermittent internet problems, you should choose background indexing to do the work off-line. Paying accounts will get a full Indexing Log to look at anytime.
