Can PicoSearch do XML?

Yes, PicoSearch can "do XML" in a few different ways:
  • PicoSearch will index the text (not tags) of any XML file. This feature is on by default, and you can turn it off in the Additional Formats section of your Account Manager's indexing topics. For complete information about what PicoSearch can index, see FAQ

  • If your site is generating the increasingly popular XML sitemap protocol to help your site get indexed on web search engines, PicoSearch can also follow these special XML files to search all of your site. See FAQ

  • Feed delivery of your search results in XML with DTD is a separate feature that is available for a one-time install fee. For details see the FAQ on XML datafeed.
