Very! It's amazing to see what our users have done with their templated
output pages. By embedding the keyword _QUERYRESULTS anywhere within an
HTML page of your own design, you can have your search results appear
in tables, on backgrounds, with buttons, beside logos, or even under
your own paying advertisers. Just follow the easy directions.
After you have signed up for an account, see your account manager's
"Customize Template" feature. You might want to also refer to the "How
to Add a Seach Box" instructions in your account manager, or even view
the source html for the PicoSearch site's own search (which is powered
by PicoSearch of course!) Your results template can include your own
Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript, even your own keyword triggered advertising.
Some properties of the results pages which are more difficult to set
from the template are also available in your account's Display Settings.
There's a trick for customizing the search box itself to put it anywhere on your page. There are also optional template codes for customizing the search results.
Although there is a fundamental limitation of one template per account,
the template codes can even help you dynamically tweak the search
results page design depending on which search box the user is coming
from. This is often done to support search result designs for multiple languages, for example.
We really appreciate the opportunities to help customers get the most
from their PicoSearch, so if you need any assistance in getting your
template just right, feel free to contact us
For those customers who wish to control the display of PicoSearch
results from their own server scripts, there is the additional option
for XML/JSON datafeed.
