Offline Indexing options
A nice feature of PicoSearch has been the ability to index while you wait, online in your browser. This has allowed users to see exactly what documents were being found, and highlight potential link problems. However, if the site is large, or if the internet connection is slow or intermittent, online indexing can be inconvenient to impossible.
PicoSearch now offers full support for offline indexing at the time of account creation, as well as offline reindexing for existing accounts. Two emails are sent when offline indexing or reindexing are selected. The first email confirms that the process has begun, and the second confirms that the index has been completed. The time and number of documents found are both available to give you maximum flexibility and choice between indexing methods.
