completely customizable, with no obligations to promote PicoSearch.
They allow you to completely design the web pages that display the
search results for your site. You get to design the look and feel of
your search engine as much as you like, by using the PicoSearch easy
templating tools. You can even manage the advertising space for
yourself, so as to seamlessly integrate with the rest of your website's
layout.
Paying accounts get full access to great professional features
such as Scheduled Reindexing, Hit Highlighting, Spell Checking, User
Synonyms, Date Sorting, Direct Searches, Partitions, Promotions, and Advanced Statistics; see more details in the Service Plans Features and Rates.
To support more complex site designs, the purchased Plans also include
the most powerful indexing and scope options, such as high page limits
with an unlimited number of top-level indexer entry points (you'll learn
more about these as you set up your account). The PicoSearch staff is
also available to paying customers for special requests, such as
selective indexing and super-large site needs; we are here to help you.
In contrast, we can offer PicoSearch Free for FREE by issuing popular defaults that help promote PicoSearch, along with
lower (but still generous!) indexing limits. Search results are just as
effective and powerful for Free customers as for the purchased Plans,
the difference is in the PicoSearch rights to branding and possible
future advertising, and the simpler feature which are lower maintenance
for us and sufficient for generic internet use.
